Conflict Resolution (Disc 1)
"With the Working it Out Plan"
People often avoid confrontation, but avoiding confrontation will cause one to lose the opportunity to gain resolution, intimacy, justice, and security. Developed specifically for a class of children who had many conflict problems, Teacher feedback revealed that her students were able to take this process and utilize it on their own in the playground. Using Time Out (Disc 2)
"3 Problematic Theories & 1 That Works"
Time out is a tool with a bad reputation in some circles. This DVD explains how the tool and technique of time out is used poorly because of three problematic orientations or theories of time out itself. The one theory that works focuses on inclusion rather than exclusion. Teachers and other adults are guided to recognize their role in setting boundaries through time out to develop children who will be successful in families, classrooms, and later social situations. Setting Boundaries (Disc 3)
"and Following Through”
The failure to set boundaries creates anxiety in children and leads to problematic behavior. However, many adults set overly rigid boundaries that fail to facilitate internalized values within children. This DVD will guide adults in setting boundaries that enable children to make their own choices more appropriately. The boundary of never allowing children to chose to be unreasonable will also be introduced and explained. TRT: 27 min

Punishment and Praise (Disc 4)
Punishment as a form of negative reinforcement and Praise as a form of positive reinforcement are examined for the accuracy of their underlying assumptions. Both disciplinary and behavior motivations are examined to guide adults in more appropriate and successful support of children. On this DVD both a sample Incentive Plan and a Behavior Plan are discussed and demonstrated. These two plans are available as documents on the DVD. TRT: 42 min

"For a Child’s Achievement, Relationships, and Community"
This DVD introduces and discusses the ten most important skills teachers and parent can teach children. These skills promote individual achievement and success, as well as community involvement and relationships in the home, the classroom, the playground, and sports and later in marriage, work, and social situations. The following Skills are discussed: Problem Solving, Common Sense, Teamwork, Caring, Perseverance, Initiative, Responsibility, Effort,Motivation, and Confidence. TRT: 39 min
